Sherry is a sharp-witted associate in the Telecommunications, Media and Technology department and has developed legal expertise within the practice.

Sherry is one of our star associates within the firm having been seconded to a tier1financial institution for one year. Given her first-hand experience within the legal and fintech departments of the said institution, the team has greatly benefited from her insightful and practical approach to advisory offered to clients while structuring fintech deals and navigating the regulatory landscape. She offers an effervescent, meticulous and ingenious approach to the TMT Department.

She is highly proficient in handling issues of data privacy, intellectual property, fintech, consumer protection, contract negotiation, data governance and regulatory compliance. She provides an innovative approach to client management and strives to go over and above to safeguard her client’s interests. She has been a great and well-needed addition to the team and offers support to Catherine and Janet in advancing the department.

Sherry is a certified associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration and a Certified Professional Mediator, skills which come in handy in contract negotiations.  She is  also a trained and certified Data Protection Officer. Sherry continuously publishes in the firm’s Above Standard Newsletter as well as in other regional and international sites such as the CIO and Afriwise.
