Marysheila heads the Family Law department at TRIPLEOKLAW, a role that has suited her experience in litigation, arbitration and mediation in the areas of family disputes well. Among the types of matters she regularly handles include, but are not limited to, divorce and separation, financial claims, domestic children matters including adoption, international children matters including abduction cases, cohabitant’s claims, family wealth protection, pre- and post-nupital agreements, surrogacy issues, trusts, wills and succession law.
Her expertise in Family Law has earned her and appointment as one of the advocates in a Bench Bar Committee initiated by the Judiciary of Kenya that regularly sits to discuss issues affecting this practice area.
Another facet of Marysheila’s experience is her strong Employment and Labour Law track record. This experience spans areas such as commercial disputes, labour disputes and public procurement issues where she has won the confidence of many individual and corporate clients alike. She possess a flare for persuasive negotiation, a valuable skill which is crucial in resolving disputes both in and out of court.
Marysheila also advises various clients in various industries such as manufacturing, telecommunications, airlines, and banking. She has handled regulatory and compliance issues for corporate clients as well as having advised them on debt restructuring and payments.
