Bryan has a general financial transactions and Alternate Dispute Resolution practice. His work has touched on tax, intellectual property, project finance, insolvency & restructuring, corporate fraud, securitisation, commercial arbitration, competition and regulation of industries. He currently specializes in compliance, competition regulation, debt finance, cross-border transactions, leveraged and secondary buy-outs, M&As, International Arbitration, Private Equity and Joint Venture transactions.
He has worked as the lead associate for various commercial transactions and commercial litigation disputes in Kenya across a broad range of sectors, including Banking, Telecom, Insurance, Manufacturing, Competition & Compliance, Small & Medium Enterprise segment, including a number of high-profile advisory, litigation and arbitration briefs.
Bryan obtained his Law degree- LLB (Hons.) from Leeds University and later attained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Corporate Governance & Financial Regulation from the University of Warwick, in the United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) specialising in commercial and international arbitration practice.
Becoming a CIArb Fellow is the most senior level of membership and entitles one to serve on Presidential panels: panels of senior and experienced practitioners who are trained arbitrators, commercial and civil mediators, and adjudicators. CIArb membership is an internationally recognized professional status in Alternate Dispute Resolution. It demonstrates a high standard of education and experience along with a commitment to development and keeping ADR skills current.
Bryan has been involved in several arbitral and other ADR processes. His speciality is in commercial arbitration and in international & investment arbitration.
Bryan becomes the youngest individual in the 53 year history of the Kenyan branch of CIArb to attain fellowship of the Institute demonstrating his passion for and expertise in arbitration
