She focuses mainly on data privacy governance, cybersecurity, consumer protection, intellectual property, fintech and payment systems in the course of negotiation, drafting and reviewing of partnership agreements for service provision.

Joyanne is an integral part of the team in providing legal advisory services to various telecoms in Kenya including providing compliance assessment to the largest regional TelCo. The team has a niche offering to multinational tech and financial organisations providing legal services towards overall compliance with the Data Protection Act, Kenya of digital services/products terms and conditions. As a result of the enactment of Kenya’s Data Protection Act, many such organisations have needed their products and services terms & conditions be critically assessed for conformity with the Act. Joyanne has therefore been a part of the team in the process of reviewing volumes of terms and conditions to achieve compliance with the provisions of the Act in addition to flagging other potential risk areas for mitigation.
